The start of a new week. How are you waking up today? Are you tired? Are you well rested? Are you dreading the days to come? Are you looking forward to the days to come? Most of us will have a bit of a mixture of these. When we woke up this morning and came downstairs our puppy, Cody, greeted us with such enthusiasm and such love. Here is a picture of him giving my wife a hug! I know; he’s a big puppy! He’s a St Bernese- a mix between a St Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog. Safe to say that when he hugs you, there’s a lot of love involved!
Though we were tired this morning and we faced into a week that might well bring some elements of struggle, this experience of puppy love made us laugh until we cried tears of joy. And that one short moment allowed me to consider the following:
Whatever the week to come has in store, we could choose to approach it with positivity. We could approach it with a ‘can do’ attitude. And if life is such at present that we can’t do this let’s pray that those who can will meet us along the way and give us a hand.
Here’s a few things to bear in mind as the week starts:
You are special- a thought of God come true You have coped with difficult things in the past- remember? You’re a tough cookie!
You’re also a bit sensitive inside- go to that place and find compassion for others.
There will be at least one thing today that makes you laugh out loud- laugh till you cry.
One word spoken in true love to another can rock their world- go rock someone’s world!
Most people are doing their best most of the time- even when they are getting on your nerves.
Life is about being rather than doing. Make sure you find time to rest this week.
There is real possibility this week to come- go find it!
A moment in silence and prayer today can’t hurt, can it?
Yes you can… Seriously, you can.
Have a great week. Blessings.
